What to expect at Robertson County Museum

The Robertson County Museum occupies the town's former Carnegie-era library just off the square, packing a genuine county-history collection into two floors: dark-fired tobacco tools, Wessyngton Plantation artifacts, Civil War letters, and one small room devoted entirely to the Bell Witch legend of nearby Adams. It's staffed by volunteers who actually know the stories — ask about the 1892 courthouse fire and settle in.

This is a one-hour stop and pairs perfectly with a walk around the square. Wednesday and Thursday mornings are quietest; Saturday sees local families and out-of-town genealogy researchers. There's no cafe or gift shop of any real size, so plan food before or after. The museum runs on donations — $5 per adult is the honest ask, and it keeps the lights on.
